|It’s hard to believe that here we are, just a few short months away from graduation. This time of senior year starts to get really busy and we want to take this moment to congratulate you on your child’s hard work these past four years, and yours, to reach this milestone. All of these events and other announcements are also on the Class of 2018 Google Classroom page.|
The administration reserves the right to refuse a student participation in any or all of the senior events for just cause. Students who have not paid dues also cannot participate in senior events.

Senior T-Shirts - Senior class t-shirts will be distributed the first week of April. Seniors who owe dues will not be given their T-Shirt until that has been paid.
Senior Field Trip - TENTATIVE DATE Friday, May 18th. (We are awaiting approval from central office) Six Flags New England overnight trip. This trip is open to only High School Senior school groups and the park will be closed to the general public and only groups that have registered will be attending the event. We will leave the school at approximately 5pm and return around 7am the next day. This is not included in the class dues and students must have payment in by April 29th as we have to send the payment in to the park the following week. The students were asked to take a survey to let us know how many are committed going so we can book the bus, we will be taking a coach bus. We do not have the cost yet as we are waiting to get a count to determine how many busses we will need. We are estimating it between $70-80 and will include transportation, dinner and entrance to the park.
Senior Prom - Friday, June 1st - 6pm to 11pm at the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury. Students will have prom contracts available the end of April and tickets will go on sale as well at the end of April. The cost of the ticket is estimated to be $65 per person.
Senior Awards - Tuesday, June 12th at 8:30am in the gymnasium. You may not be aware you are getting an award, please dress appropriately, parents are welcome to attend.
Senior Night - Wednesday, June 13th at 6pm in the school atrium. This event if for senior class members only. Students will have dinner, watch a slideshow and receive their yearbooks. Yearbook and dinner are part of their class dues.
Graduation Rehearsal 1 - Tuesday, June 19th at the school. Students will receive their graduation gowns this rehearsal and information about Graduation photos.
Graduation Rehearsal 2 and Senior Breakfast - Wednesday, June 20th. Seniors will have breakfast Wednesday morning at the school before heading over to the O’Neill center at WCSU Westside campus. Students may drive to the graduation practice with parental permission. We will also have busses available to drive students who will need a ride. Students will be dismissed after practice. Those that need rides back to school will ride on the bus.
Graduation - Wednesday, June 20th at 6pm sharp. Students MUST arrive at the O’Neill center by 5pm in their graduation gown. The O’Neill center does not allow balloons or noise makers at events and WCSU security will remove those that violate WCSU policies. Students must dress appropriately and be in their gown at 5pm. Please be aware that on campus parking is tricky. You may be required to walk to the O’Neill Center. Traffic is heavy at that time of day, so plan to arrive early. There is no limit on how many guests may attend graduation. Lifetouch will take each student’s photo at graduation. Each student will receive a 5X7 photo which can be picked in in the office during the summer after August 1st. This is also part of the senior class dues.PARENTS

If you have not paid your senior dues it is very important that you do that as soon as possible.
