School Based Health Center

Not only are the holidays right around the corner but so is the flu season.

Don’t let you child miss out on all the holiday activities or spread the flu to those who have a weak immune system like babies and grandparents.

The school based health center still has vaccines available.  Call us at 203 797 4460 x 4936 and we will get the permission form to your student. Or you can download it from the school website.

We at the School Based Health Center wish you all a safe and healthy 2017.

As a student of Henry Abbott Technical School (HATS), your child has the unique opportunity to take advantage of medical services offered through a School Based Health Center (SBHC) located in the school building.  The HATS SBHC is a satellite site of the Greater Danbury Community Health Center and is primarily staffed by a physician assistant and a medical/office assistant. All of the School-Based Health Center’s health care professionals work collaboratively with school staff and community providers to provide quality holistic health services.

Medical services include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses such as strep throat, ear infections, and asthma, as well as sports physicals and immunizations.  Health education and counseling is also offered, with topics ranging from nutrition and fitness to reproductive health.
